The Chief Marketing Officer Program is designed for senior marketing leaders navigating today’s fast-evolving landscape. Learn through a combination of self-paced modules, expert live sessions on AI strategy, a choice of elective pathways and a three-day on-campus experience (optional). This learning journey equips you with the practical frameworks, strategic insight and leadership capabilities to future-proof marketing functions and scale impact across the enterprise.
This program embeds practical application at every stage, ensuring concepts move beyond theory into strategic action within your organization. Through structured activities, guided reflection and a final capstone project, you will translate learning into meaningful initiatives that strengthen marketing leadership and business impact.
Program Playbook
Throughout the program, you will complete structured activities that apply key concepts and skills to your role or organization using a playbook that serves as a strategic journal to track progress, capture reflections and shape real-world strategies and initiatives. The playbook is released in four parts aligned to the program’s core pillars, enabling focused and practical application as you progress through the curriculum.
Part 1: Thinking Strategically (Module 1)
Part 2: Innovation and Growth (Module 6)
Part 3: Customer-Centric Organization (Module 10)
Part 4: Leading Marketing (Module 14)
Reflective Action Planning
As a key component of the program, you will synthesize your playbook reflections into an action plan at the end of each program pillar. These action plans draw on your learning, the ideas you intend to implement and the critical priorities you aim to address across both short- and long-term horizons.
Capstone Presentation
The program culminates in a capstone presentation for which you consolidate your action plans into a cohesive strategic proposal for advancing a high-impact marketing initiative within your organization. This final project outlines the initiative’s strategic intent, implementation approach and long-term roadmap.
In the capstone presentation, you will define the priority initiative, assess opportunities and potential challenges, align it with broader business objectives and identify the partnerships required for success. The capstone also includes selecting appropriate performance metrics and outlining a clear communication strategy to track progress and engage key stakeholders effectively.

The program culminates with an optional networking event on the Kellogg campus in Evanston, Illinois. The annual Kellogg Connections event brings participants together for an immersive experience that fosters meaningful connections and collaboration. You will engage with your cohort peers and meet professionals from other cohorts, strengthening relationships within a diverse global community of senior executives.
The experience also provides a unique opportunity to interact with your faculty and success coaches through live sessions and focused breakout discussions, creating opportunities for deeper learning, shared perspectives and lasting professional networks that extend well beyond the classroom.
